Mission
¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿â
The Chapter Relations Office promotes a sense of identification between the national Association and the 57 ¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿âChapters; facilitates communication between the Chapters and all ¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿âunits; coordinates leadership development for Chapter officers, Chapter Councilors, chief paid staff members, and other Chapter leaders; strengthens membership promotion activities for ¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿âand the Chapters; coordinates with the ¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿âStudent Chapters and helps raise awareness of and sensitivity to Chapter needs throughout the ALA. In addition to CRO, the interests of are represented within ¸Û°Ą̈ͼ¿âby the Chapter Relations Committee (CRC), which meets each Annual Conference, and serves as an advisory committee to the CRO.
